After I selected the mount directory, there was no login window popping up

I'm using debian 12，linux-image-6.1.0-17-amd64

I have packaged onedrive, and was not able to reproduce this. However I tried on Debian sid, not Debian 12.

Also try running the gui app from command line to see messages, instead of clicking the app icon.

If you want to give the package a try?

I tried running the gui app from command line to see messages, The message is what I wrote above.
I'm working fine on another machine, so I'm not sure if there's something on my machine that's causing the issue.

New package still has this issue.

Hi,
I've encountered the same issue on MX Linux 23, which is built on Debian 12. Specifically, upon opening the GUI and selecting a folder for mount it, Onedriver fails to open the logging window. Strangely, I've successfully used Onedriver on another laptop with identical operating system but different hardware. Below are the details of the laptop experiencing the logging problem.

Kernel: 6.1.0-17-amd64 [6.1.69-1] arch: x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 12.2.0
parameters: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-6.1.0-17-amd64 root=UUID= ro quiet splash

Hello, where did you get this journal? I am new to Linux and hope you can help me understand it

On the console with:
journalctl
or
journalctl -n 100
better
journalctl -n 200
maybe even better for you quickly find onedrive logs
journalctl -b | grep onedriver
On Linux Systems with systemd
-b = logs since Boot
-n = is showing lines

I tried to use the "journalctl" command to get the logs, and when I pressed select the directory, the logs looked like this

I have packaged onedrive, and was not able to reproduce this. However I tried on Debian sid, not Debian 12.

Also try running the gui app from command line to see messages, instead of clicking the app icon.

I have error with this package:

I'm getting the same on fedora 39, and installing webket2gtk-4 doesn't appear to solve it. Any ideas?

I resolved the issue by transitioning from MX Linux's default SysVinit to Systemd as the init and service manager. I acknowledge that this solution may seem somewhat crude.

@sf-000 try not dpkg -i but apt install ./the.deb
