I've installed the xUbuntu 22.04 bins for my Linux Mint 21.2, but the file explorer freezes without loading some folder's content. I have to unmount the drive from the app (after which it unfreezes), mount it again and retry.

Linux Mint is supported in the sense that the Ubuntu package will also work for it. What you are hitting is a bug similar to issue #366, which is a different thing.

I would leave this open for the time being since Mint uses different file managers, so the cause of the issue might or might not be different. Which Mint spin are you using? Cinnamon, MATE or XFCE?
