MPU 6050 ypr values climb to infinity

I am quite new to the mpu 6050 and have been just trying to get a stable reading of the ypr using the DMP6 example sketch. My problem is that even when the sensor is sitting completely still the ypr values that are being shown on the serial monitor are just slowly climbing to infinity. If anybody know how to solve this it would be greatly appreciated.
