Ability to set YouTube thumbnails (showed in app) as fhumbnails of downloaded video / audio files #219
Comments
this can be done by muxing the thumbnail file as an attachment to a downloaded .mkv with the name "cover.jpg" |
@McBaws please elaborate. |
Youtube-dl can download youtube files as .mkv. you can add attachments to mkv using mkvpropedit, and if you add an image as an attachment and name it "cover", it will appear as the video file's thumbnail on windows explorer. youtube-dl gui could download the thumbnail and mux it in automatically, or you could also do it yourself manually if you really wanted to. |
