For a long time there were no updates / versions, some dependencies are outdated, and there are some security vulnerabilities in some of them.
Is the project still maintained?

Just me workig on it and little contributions. Also tons of old deps, so I started wazzle, but just me there aswell... also rust rspack is the new webpack
