Decentralised structure & integration possible?

I became aware of Invoice Ninja through the guide from Uberspace and I noticed one thing that I think could make Invoice Ninja easy to use for medium-sized companies and associations (with several departments).

Scenario:

Each department has its own Invoice Ninja instance. And the organisation/association itself also has an IN instance where the departments converge.

If you have separate departments you could just use the permissions feature to silo your users into their own department. there shouldn't be any need for the complexity of multiple instances.

@turbo124 is there a way to give permissions to users so they can only see the product cost, or they can only see the product price but not both?

Currently, in order to create new purchase orders or new invoices, the user must have access to "products" which currently includes both cost and price. Normally a purchasing staff should only have access to product cost to create purchase orders and the sales staff should only have access to product price when creating invoices. While only the product cost should show up when adding items to a Purchase Order or only product price should show up in the drop down when adding items to an Invoice, the current user permission setting requires that all product information (both price and cost) must be revealed.
