Registry and repository looks like synonyms

There seems to be two names/terms for the same thing:

• registry
• repository

This causes a bit confusion. ATM I think from user perspective the terms are synonyms and only one of them should be used.

If we choose one I’d go for registry, as the repository is more something related to a source code storage and change history for a one particular project. In contrary registry relates to a library of ready-made packages or images.
