How to choose an icon from downloaded icons

How do I actually choose an icon from the list of downloaded icons? No matter which icon I click in the list before clicking "Pick Chosen Icon", it just keeps using the highest resolution icon.

My KeePass version is 2.46, and my Custom Icon Dashboarder version is 1.2, on Windows 10.

It seems to work fine if you do it to an entry. What I mean is: select the 'All entries' tab instead of the 'All icons' one, select the entries whose icon you want to change, and do the same procedure you were doing.

This, however, is still an issue when trying to change a particular icon despite the entries it's being used in (by selecting one in the 'All Icons' tab). In this case, the stated by @benedictleejh is what happens.
