Hi All -

New to this so bear with me :-)

Operating system: MacOSx

Version of nvidia-clerk you're running: latest - just downloaded!

Parameters passed in (redact sensitive info): -region=USA -model=3080

Error I am getting in Terminal window is following:

2020/10/06 11:01:48 Get "https://api-prod.nvidia.com/direct-sales-shop/DR/products/en_us/USD/5438481700": context deadline exceeded (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)

Have checked firewall, router controls etc - all are "open" - any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

The NVIDIA API is down. I will leave this open so people stop duplicating it.

This is just something on their end we have to wait for them to correct, yeah? I've seen it pop up a few times but seems like it's been almost all week this time.

Yeah

Does this mean it doesn't work with nvidia's website only or is completely non-functional right now?

Non functional because it's only for the NVIDIA store. We just need to wait and hope that the temporary Best Buy switch will be short.

Someone needs to write a bot to check to see when the bot works again! :-)

Run with -url=https://api-prod.nvidia.com/direct-sales-shop/DR/products/en_us/USD/5438481700 and it will say code 200 when the bot works again

Has the bot worked in the past week or two? Especially since NVIDIA is no longer selling the cards themselves, would the bot still function at all?

No it hasn't, Nvidia shut down their store, if they don't open it back up this bot won't work.

Seems like Nvidia have started to sell their FE cards via retailers now. Was a drop in the UK for Scan earlier, and then one in France by LDLC. The nvidia website shows a 'buy now' button which linked to those sites while they were in stock, but the API never came back online, so seems like this is now a dead end.

@mickyg33 How did you get notified of these drops? I've heard nothing of it and can't even find any trace of the drop.

I got told by someone on discord, but the nvidia site for my region showed the 3080 and then the 3090 in stock, and the buy now button linked to my regions supplier, which is Scan. The 3080 lasted about 2 minutes maybe less, but the 3090s appeared available for 30 min or so. I heard an hour or so later people in France were linked to the LDLC from the nvidia site.
