pilot is being flagged as containing malware, assuming false positive but deleted nonetheless. any thoughts?

Yeah it has some old npm dependencies, I'm not sure if I want to keep maintaining it. I'm nearly done with the Uxn implementation of Pilot, I will likely drop the npm support afterward.

Is the way forward for this to switch to the Uxn versions of ORCA/pilot (when ready)? Just started to play around with orca, and pilot provides such a simple, no-fuss way to play with it. Unfortunately my robot overlords aren't happy with the old dependancies. Short of deposing them, are there any other similarly minimal solutions you could point me to?

I started to look into this problem, but the web/electron ecosystem moves so fast and the deps break so badly that I just can't keep up with the updates. Updated the deps for the pilot and orca repos with npm just make the applications unresponsive, so I'll have to dig into the Electron docs to figure out which part has broken.

I personally am not too hot on javascript right, especially since my system doesn't handle it well. I'll try to make some time to figure this out over the winter, in the meantime, try getting the Uxn version of Orca up and running. Sunvox(It's what I use), or Yoshimi are two good synths that are simple to install and that play well with orca on uxn.

The browser version of Orca should work well otherwise if you have Chrome installed.

Cool thanks for the recs, that should put me on the right path. Im keen to give uxn a go (love the principles behind it), so ill explore some options.

Hop on #uxn, on irc.esper.net if you need a hand setting things up :)
