Have you ever considered the option to add another parameter to the MIDI note operator to select additional MIDI output devices?

I was considering to experiment with a numeric an index to select the ouput device, to be able to drive additional external instruments, beyond the single device currently available.

I have, but it makes the Midi operator too long to use for my likes, feel free to create your own midi operator too, if you don't need velocity, you could get rid of velocity and you'd have an operator with 5 ports which is pretty much the limit of usability.

We could adopt the Pure Data approach. It overflows channels to the next available devices. For example channel 16 would become channel 0 of the second device.

Clearly the idea of wrapping around channels falls short, given the limit of numbers that can be expressed with single chars.
I will adopt an additional port in my own fork.
