I would like to have the ability to open a whole folder, potentially with subfolders (what is called a "project" in many other IDE/editors). In addition to seeing them in the navigation bar, I would like all of the files included to contribute to autocomplete.

I have some JS skills, but there seems to be no guideline here on how to contrbute PRs either?

there are no guidelines, the only thing is to follow the coding style, and try to solve this as simply as possible, I will do a big refactoring pass over left in about a month, if you think that you cannot do it in less than a month's time, don't start.

Oh, I absolutely don't think I could do it in less than a month due to other obligations - so I'll keep my fingers crossed that the refactor includes the feature ;)

How's the refactor coming?

It's coming along, it's breaking a few things, I'll post here when I push the branch on github :)

Hi, I'm a new Linux user, loved left as a text editor, I know my question is stupid, I downloaded the files, I don't know how to install left on my ubuntu OS. I would very much appreciate having documentation on how to install it on Linux. Please help me! thanks!

@zayed001 you will need to add a Desktop file to basically show the System where the Binary is located.
