It happened again: A new version of a VST for which I already created a comprehensive preset, shuffles all the parameter numbers around.
I think, addressing the parameters by name would be much more stable.
So it would be good to have a utility function that converts all "FX Parameter: set value" mappings of a preset from "particular" to "named".
(Then I only would need to get the old installers for those VSTs)

I am just doing this manually for all my presets, and noticed the following workaround (for converting just one mapping):
Instead of memorizing the parameter name, then changing the parameter selection type to "named", then typing the parameter name,
you can simply re-confirm the "particular" parameter number from the popup selection list. Then change parameter selection type to "named", and the name does automatically appear!
See also #898 , which is about an option to avoid the dependency on parameter numbers in the first place.
