Problem description

This project focuses on revising the VM0042 v2.1 methodology to develop a comprehensive Guardian policy. The policy will integrate all equations specified in the VM0042 v2.1 methodology, along with the relevant CDM tools and Verra modules referenced in the document.

Requirements

  1. Flexible Quantification Approaches:
  • Support for three primary quantification approaches:
    - Measure and Model
    - Measure and Remeasure
    - Default Factors
  1. Document and Template Integration:
  • Capture key documents/templates:
    - Project Description Template, v4.4
    - Monitoring Report Template, v4.4
    - Validation Report Template, v4.4
    - Verification Report Template, v4.4
    - User Registration Forms
    - Emission Calculation Form
  1. CDM Tools and Modules Integration:
  • AR-TOOL14: Tool for Testing Significance of GHG Emissions in A/R CDM Project Activities
  • A/R Methodological Tool for the Identification of Degraded or Degrading Lands in CDM A/R Project Activities
  • VMD0053 Module: This module will be treated as a tool within Guardian.

Definition of done

  1. Development of the VM0042 v2.1 Guardian policy.
  2. Integration of equations, tools, and templates to support seamless project workflows.
  3. A webinar to demonstrate the revised policy and its features to users and stakeholders.
