How to apply this Image2Surface to an already existing plane (like "Insert Decal")? #19

I'm not sure if I do something wrong or if this isn't even possible.
I have a ball which I want to make bumpy, so I hoped I could use your awesome Add-In to make the outside of my ball bumpy with a randome-noise-picture I used.
It just creates a new plane with this bumpy surface.

Thank you very much!

Hi @Photelegy -

It's difficult in Fusion 360 to wrap a sketch onto non-flat surface. But it's possible using various work-arounds.

Take a look at this video: https://youtu.be/JYCtPI6A8H4

Thank you for this video-idea 👍🏻
I'll try it out.

@Photelegy -

I just tried it out and it does not work.

EDITED: I tried this using two of my add-ins. It works with my Voronoi with a workaround, but it's failing with my Image 2 Surface add-in. This add-in creates a mesh, not a sketch, therefore it's harder to project onto a surface. Will see if I can find a workaround.
