Handsontable used in AGPL-licensed project #10505
-
Hello, I'm curious if handsontable license allows integrating in my non-commercial AGPL licensed project. The license stipulates non-commercial use, but I'm wondering how far does this go? I mean, my open source project is free of charge, non-commercial. But as a note-taking software, it could be used by users to e.g. organize work-related (commercial) information. So, can the free license of handsontable be used in a non-commercial project, which could be used by users for their commercial needs (e.g. entering their company's quarterly results)? Another thing is that since my project is open source, it could be forked and commercialized. In such a case, it's clear the handsontable could not be used within this commercial software without a paid license. |

Hi @zadam Thank you for contacting us. In general, if Handsontable might be used in any commercial way in the further life cycle of the application, you will need the license. I recommend contacting our Sales Team at [email protected] for more information and details about the best solution for your needs. |
