Jetbrains not using ligatures

I am using Monaspace on Windows 10 with IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate 2024

I can see the font in the menu and can select it. However, even with "enable ligatures" checked there are none

Note that other fonts with ligatures work fine: Cascadia Code, Monolisa, Ligalex, etc.

Just not this one.

IntelliJ does not support stylistic sets, which are needed to enable most of the ligatures in this font. There is an issue that has been opened several years ago, but the feature is not scheduled for a release yet.

You could try patching the font to move the stylistic sets into the main ligature group, some ways to do this have been described in the Jetbrains issue and in #65.
