Crk and srs keyboards flash and disappear on android

We did:
installed Divvun Dev from google play, on Pixel 3A Android 12,May 5th.
and installed crk x 2 and srs. The keyboard opened, accepted two - three letters but then disappeared. The letters stayed in the Application, but the keyboard disappeared. To get it back we had to open a new document, after which the problem repeated itself. The program was keep notes.
