Although geotiff.js supports n-bit decompression, the main issue (I believe) is that 1/0 data is often encoded using CCITT Group 4 Compression and geotiff.js doesn't support this. I haven't even been able to find a JavaScript package that provides this decompression algorithm. If anyone would like to take on writing this algorithm, let us know! Would be a great opportunity to support the project! @constantinius , let me know if I got anything wrong here :-) |
Yes, CCITT is not (yet) implemented. I tried around a bit but never really got far and there is not much demand for that. I don't remember if the original issue was because of this compression, though. |

I have loaded the file okay in QGIS - so I believe the file to be valid
