piskvorky/sqlitedict#73 and piskvorky/sqlitedict#74 are about non-string/arbitrary keys.
It would be a useful addition to this library also.

I see key_transform which could do the trick.

I think I have my problem solved, using key_transform for crazy keys and jsonpickle for crazy values. Doing a large test run now.
