[Picker] Ability to open picker in normal mode

In telescope there's the initial_mode prop that will set the mode for the opened picker. In snacks.Picker, I've found that some pickers are opened in normal mode while other in insert. I cannot find how to customize such option. For some pickers, I think it makes sense to open them in normal mode (i.e., when searching for a word) over the insert mode.

Could you point me to the docs where it's defined?

I'm wondering why this could be useful, as I personally have never wanted to do anything else except type a query when opening a picker. Could you please share your use case? :)

Here's an example, @folke & @miroshQa, using the grep picker for a word. This would open a picker that searches for the selected word. By opening the picker in normal mode I'd be able to search through the found results by default, instead of having to press Esc to get into normal mode.
For this picker, makes more sense to open in n mode over i, as, why would you need to type more when you are searching for a specific word?

Why? If you open grep_word than you can type using matcher patterns to start filtering the list.

In case you mean regular search, then just press <c-g> and start typing to filter the results.

Or start a regular grep with live = false and search=whatever so you can again just start typing to filter the results list returned by grep.

FWIW I use initial_mode = "normal" when listing buffers. I find it easier to use the arrow keys than to type a search. I don't use it anywhere else.

I also have some pickers that I prefer to start in normal mode. One use case is to jump to some changed file where I can just open the picker in normal mode, press j a few times to go down the list and then enter.

To add further to my last comment, I use <Space> to open the buffer picker and I have mapped <Space> in the buffer picker to select the highlighted buffer.
