Platforms

iOS

Description

Support getting both edited and original version, with edit history using AAE sidecar on iOS, instead of just the edited one with the edits baked in.

Why

It would be really useful to be able to get both the original and edited files with edit history as to preserve the original files for future editing.

bump.

Is this still on some list? The label "missing requirements" is irritating me...

What is unclear?

What are the missing requirements it seems pretty clear to me. Apple uses a AEE sidecar file to store edit metadata and this plugin doesn’t pull those AEE files from the device causing the edit data to be lost when pulling the photo using this plugin. The only edit data that remains is whatever was already applied and no extra data such as portrait mode depth map or Timelapse start and end point selection data. Any of that extra data is lost.
