Just a quick thank you for the fork. I attempted my won but was struggling and had basically no idea what I was doing.

I know there are plenty of people out there that don't and even cant monitor gas/water usage so your fork to allow people to set up solar diverters, chargers etc is great. I doubt I'll be of any help in making changes, but I can certainly spread the word.

I already thought about "Power Flow Card Extension" but that name would probably be misleading, since people would think, you have to install the original one first. Im probably going to decide change the name to "Power Flow Card Plus"

Thanks a lot for the great fork! I have one feature request, would it be possible to add to individual1 and 2 additional info, like state of charge or temperature (in case of water heater)?

If you go into HACS what version does it say you are running? Latest is 0.0.9.4.

HI

So I have jus tinstalled and confiurged
I have an off dride system and am pulling in data to HA
I have current solar, and Bat in and out
when the bat is charging I see X coming into the house via the Solar and X coming into the Batt which seem sto get added to the house
so if I have 2kw in the pannels and and using 500w in the house I see 2kw going to the house and 1.5 also from the bat to the house as well
What I dont see in the 1.5kw going ot the batt and 500w being used n the house.

I love this card, so thank you for the work put into it. Question and/or request: Is there a way to make the sensor data more realtime? It seems that it takes about 30s for the system to update? perhaps scan_interval: 5s ?

Thank you very much for that compliment, I really do appreciate it!
Regarding the scan interval, the card updates as soon as the state of one of the entities you provided updates, meaning if your entity only updates every 30 seconds, there's really nothing that can be done about it in the frontend 😊

Firstly, thanks for a great power flow card! I have now migrated all my existing power cards to this one.

I have a question on the new flow formula introduced in v0.0.9.6.

I have put two cards side by side on a dashboard, one with use_new_flow_rate_model set to true and the other set to false and they both seem to look the same, no matter what power is being generated by grid, solar, battery, fossil fuel.

I am no expert, but I had a quick look at the code and I couldn’t see the use_new_flow_rate_model config actually being read and set?

As I say, I am probably wrong on the code, but would be interested to see if others have managed to get the new flow working or not

Are you using the version 0.1beta? This feature is only available in that version and up

I love the idea and intent of this card but I am struggling with the current builds. I have tried 0.0.9.6, 0.1.0b and now 0.1 release

1. I never get the UI to configure the card - I have tried HACS install and manual
2. The values should probably be Watt hours (Wh) or kilowatt hours (kWh) rather than W and kW as that is what the sensors typically measure.
3. I cannot get the values shown in the custom power flow plus card to agree with the numbers from the card provided by the Energy dashboard despite using the same sensor inputs as the dashboard.

This is a card for power sensors, so the unit needs to be W and not Wh. If you want to use energy sensors, you can try this new card I created: https://github.com/flixlix/energy-flow-card-plus

First i have to thank everyone who has contributed in this amazing Card

I have a idea. Now the Speed of the dots on the lines is proportional to the amount of Power.
What about a Option to Display more than one dot on one Line and then use the density(amount of points) to Display the power Flow. I guess this would feel a bit Like seeing the electrons Flow (physically correctly would be the Flow of the absence of a electrons)

What do you think about this?

This is the best card I have found to display power data, is there a way to increase the size of the bubbles and text size?
I display this on a screen mounted to the wall and find its a little to small for me

Thank you for an excellent power flow card ive found it very useful. Would it be possible to move the two 'individuals' up to the inverter to represent the solar arrays inputting into the Inverter? I have amended the card to represent this but it would be great to move them physically from the home icon to the inverter if possible?

Hi, just use the ‘individual’ options and add the two entities for each PV and they should show the PV value for each of them.
