Every time I got to authenticate, I get the following error:

I also don't know how to get my control server URL, or if I even need it, or if it's perhaps related to this problem.

It looks like it's failing to open your default browser. Try running tailscale up manually in the command-line and following the instructions that it gives.

@DeedleFake Sorry for the late response, been super busy.

I thought tailscale was integrated into the Flatpak? Am I mistaken?

Note that the above config note about the current user being designated as an "operator" still applies to the Flatpak version of this app. However, the tailscale binary is bundled into the Flatpak and thus does not need to be in your $PATH.

Also, FWIW, I'm using Junction as my default browser.

The CLI client, tailscale, is integrated into the Flatpak. The Tailscale daemon, tailscaled, is not. It needs to do low-level Linux things as root, and the sandbox would prevent that. It needs to be installed and run manually outside the Flatpak, and then Trayscale can interact with it.

I would like to find a way to integrate it, especially since my original impetus for creating Trayscale was to use it on my Steam Deck, but have yet to do so.
