Feature Request: Setting to automatically delete checked items

I have several checklists which I am perpetually adding items to and checking off, i.e. a grocery list. Over time, it gets very long and unnecessarily takes up resources. A suggestion I have is to have a setting to automatically delete checked items off of a checklist so keep it clean. An enhancement could be the ability to only delete them after a specified period of time has elapsed, in case the user accidentally deleted an item.

An option to move to the bottom of the list of the checked items is already there, having also an option to delete them (manually, scheduled actions are as much as possible avoided to keep the app not that much hungry of resources) would be a nice idea.
