Hi sorry if this isn't where I ask for help, I'm new to this.

When opening facetracker.exe , it shows this text, then closes after a second.

Any reason why this might be happening? I might be doing something wrong.

Sorry if this is vague, really dunno anything

EDIT:
sometimes it writes "No frame" briefly before closing. As closing is called before "No frame" shows, and it just depends on how long it takes to close

EDIT: Later, it worked once! Then later again, it didn't work again! I don't know why! It was a one-time miracle

Here is the troubleshooting I've done so far:

  • Low light vs bright light? Still doesn't work
  • Requires internet? Nope; changes nothing.
  • Python install needed? Nope; changes nothing. Even if I setup venv myself
  • What if OSF folder was elsewhere, not on desktop? Nope; changes nothing
  • What happens if I disable my PC's camera? It uses OBS Virtual Camera instead. Repeats "took [amt of time]".
  • Conflict with OBS Virtual Camera? Nope. Uninstalled it. Changes nothing.

So it worked with OBS Virtual Camera... which means it's probably not an issue with the program but my PC cam. 😢 However my PC cam absolutely works so, I don't know what's wrong still. sigh

Opening the facetracker.exe by double clicking it is unlikely to work. Instead, I recommend running the run.bat or manually calling the facetracker.exe with the necessary commandline arguments.
