The socioeconomic data sources page currently contains quite a lot of general information about socioeconomics (e.g. what is it, how it relates to COVID, etc.). Although it might be useful to have this somewhere, the data sources page is probably not the place for it.
People are unlikely to go looking for such information there, and since this isn't the socioeconomics landing page or otherwise the first page about socioeconomics anyone is likely to see (once other socioeconomics pages are published, anyway).
I'm not sure what would be an appropriate place for this though. We don't have an "Introduction to socioeconomic research" page or similar at the moment, nor are there ones for the other disciplines. We could potentially add one, or alternatively, the index(?) page which directs to each of the topics could be repurposed for this, similar to how the National Resources index page looks currently.
Personally, I would prefer the latter option, since these discipline-specific index pages currently look a bit empty, even when they have several pages to refer to.
I discussed this Rafael during the Thursday of the contentathon, and he suggested I post it here. Let me know what you think,
Best,
Simon
