Can you explain how the dataset is used? As I see in the dataset, there is an overlap between 'frienship_old' and 'friendship_new'. Therefore, maybe the results of the paper may be wrong.

'frienship_old' and 'friendship_new' are of course overlapped because they are two snapshots of social networks. We clarified the definition of new friendship in the paper " a new friendship (appearing in the new but not in the old social network)", which means a link appreaining in 'friendship_new' but not in 'frienship_old'. A simple filter would get these new friendships.
