DDI-CDI could be a metadata standard from the DDI universe that specifies a data format suitable for archiving, as it maps (among other features) the provenance of the data processing

DDI-CDI is not intended as a replacement for DDI-LC or DDI-Codebook, but rather as a useful supplement to these standards.
