It would be nice to have the control panel that overlap the keys instead of shifting them.

Are you referring to the side panel? It does overlap the keys. Or maybe you mean something else?

Not sure how to best solve this. I often read the notes while paused, so having the panel cover the notes isn't ideal either.

I was considering two options in Settings:

  1. Always show the control panel.
  2. Display a small floating button at the bottom right for play/pause (with text replacement for the delay counter), and when it's in pause mode, show a second floating button to reveal the control panel.

Both options could be useful in certain cases, depending on the specific requirements and preferences of the users. 😆
