When I use SQL Server extension in VS Code to generate a SQL Project based of a schema I get sql files with [ and ] around the schema, database and columnnames, and then the SQL DDL import doesn't work.
You
This file doesn't work:
CREATE TABLE [dbo].[TestTable] (
[Id] int NOT NULL,
[Description] nvarchar (500) NULL,
[Type] nvarchar (3) NOT NULL,
[Active] bit NOT NULL DEFAULT 1,
PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED ([Id] ASC),
);
This file does work, sort of, the import confuses the PK for an extra column but that is another issue:
CREATE TABLE dbo.TestTable (
Id int NOT NULL,
Description nvarchar (500) NULL,
Type nvarchar (3) NOT NULL,
Active bit NOT NULL DEFAULT 1,
PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED (Id)
);
