After a response from Customer Support I now know that the 'Automatic Speech Recognition' (ASR) or VoiceRequest functionality as it is called in API has been deprecated.
In light of this I think its best to remove the functionality from the SDK. On the iOS Xamarin library sample there is only the ASR VoiceRequest method. Even a note in the README that states the ASR functionality has been changed would be extremely helpful. Time permitting will submit a pull request with the changes.
