MSI doesn't work

The problem

i have chosen the MSI

and opened it. nothing happned. with the tool Everything i found this

i opened it and github desktop was finally installed

@hueldoeu thanks for the issue. Just to confirm -- were you able to get the app installed successfully, and are just reporting the initial issue?

I just tested the .msi and it worked on my Windows machine. If you're interested in sending over some of the installation log files they may give some more information.

You should be able to find the log file here:

%LocalAppData%\GitHubDesktop\SquirrelSetup.log

If no log file is being generated there you should be able to find one in the SquirrelTemp directory:

%LocalAppData%\SquirrelTemp\SquirrelSetup.log

Thanks for the update. I'm not seeing anything unusual in the log, but I'll keep an eye out to see if we get any more reports of this.
