Drop-down values are unchecked once drop-down reloaded

We are using the multiselect in a grid to filter data. In the first step I have selected 4 values in a column and applied filter condition once filtered data is loaded we can see the results as expected but in the drop-down we can see only one value is selected out of 4 values which we have selected in the first step.
What is the reason behind this issue
