I've nothing to do with DatoCMS - but I am currently testing a new feature of our BabelEdit that uses GPT-4 to perform a consistency check of translations across languages.
I was looking for JSON files that I could use for testing that feature and came across your project here.
I started processing the German translation (since I am a native German speaker). It's not complete but I already found a lot of things that should be fixed. I've reviewed the suggested changes and only accepted changes that made sense to me (well - without knowing your product, that is).
I wonder if you are interested in the changes - because I would otherwise just discard the file... and search for another project that might make use of my files.
I can also create a pull request if you prefer that but I have no time to sign up with Loco and make the changes there.
... I also wonder, that the primary language is that you use. Is it English or Italian? Just wondering, because there are also quite a lot of differences. It looks to me like English ist the main language?
Thank you very much for the contribution!
English is the main language on the project as you said, and indeed, the translations proposed by that model are better to keep the messaging consistent across locales.
Since directly merging this file as a pull request would generate some issues in our backend, I'll look into importing it through loco myself programatically, and I'll let you know
Also, you said you are not an active user of DatoCMS, but if you ever consider building a project with us in the future, you can contact us at [email protected] as we can provide you with some credit towards your next subscription as a thank you for your contributions :)
