Apropos #12, open https://curiousdannii.github.io/parchment-testing/?story=https%3A%2F%2Fifarchive.org%2Fif-archive%2Fgames%2Fzcode%2FViolet.zblorb in iOS VoiceOver. (I'm on iPhone 13, iOS 15.2.1)

As the page opens, it reads the text on the screen. ("Calm down…") Swipe right.

Expected: Focus the <input> text field

Actual: It doesn't focus the text field, but just focuses the "page settings" button in the URL bar.

It is possible to focus the text field, by double tapping on the screen while focused on the "Calm down" text, but that's not very discoverable. But if you do that, and then swipe left, then even double tapping while focused on "Calm down" won't focus the text field any longer.

I'd been waiting for the bad news about screen readers. If you're saying it's difficult for char input does that mean it's not so bad for line input?

This has convinced me to make the input be positioned the same for char input, so let's see if that helps.

In line input, the text field can be focused by swiping right from the last line of text, just as you'd expect.

This might be improved now, but I'm not able to confirm for myself.
