Fail the set_pipeline is not in sync with the github

In our organization we are using the set_pipeline step to sync the pipeline. We are where thinking if the set_pipeline can fail if that is not in sync and send a notification on_failure scenario.
Is This can be an archive able by having a one more field in the set_pipeline step for non-interactive?
by default we can set the value as true if we want to fail the pipeline then we can add the non-interactive: false something like that
