What are the plans for new releases?

What versions of Rails are and are not supported?

@GBH, do you need help with this project? Maybe my company shakacode.com, https://github.com/shakacode, can help.

We recently took over https://github.com/reactjs/react-rails, and we're getting the maintenance going!

We also took over https://github.com/rails/webpacker ==> https://github.com/shakacode/shakapacker.

I'm interested because both of my projects HiChee.com and Printivity.com use this gem.

We've also got a community Slack: ShakaCode Slack Invite.

There doesn't seem to be anyone maintaining this gem any longer.

This fork appears to be the most active.

Does anybody know how to get in touch with the maintainers?

Hello all, I've tried to get in touch with the Comfy maintainers, but to no avail. So finally I decided to revive ComfortableMexicanSofa with a new gem, "Occams".

Occams is Rails 7 compatible - I'm using it for a personal project here: https://gknt.org
The only additional functionality I've added so far is the ability to write snippets in Markdown.

Please feel free to use and contribute! Let's keep Comfy alive.

@CloCkWeRX - I actually did that for awhile, submitted a pull request, and tried to contact the authors, but no response there either. Occams has the additions that are in that fork. If that fork becomes active again, and looks like staying alive, it wouldn't be that difficult for me to submit PRs from the little bit I've done with Occams -- and I would be very glad to do it. If Comfy revives, I will be happy to let Occams go.

I was a core committer on RadiantCMS back in the day, and sadly it languished and died. I simply don't want to see that happen again! I welcome any suggestions or input.

My company ShakaCode.com has picked up maintenance of many open-source projects, such as https://github.com/reactjs/react-rails and https://github.com/shakacode/shakapacker (used to be https://github.com/rails/webpacker).

I'm open to sponsoring the work to continue this project if the community would like that.

I've got a community slack if anybody wants to chat with me there.

@GBH Oleg, since you have apparently moved on from Comfy (all the best, and many thanks!) would you be willing to grant gem publishing authority for comfortable_mexican_sofa to a few of us who want to keep the project alive and active?

for whoever may be interested Occams has added some tags (audio, breadcrumbs, siblings), as well as the ability to write snippets in Markdown. See the CHANGELOG for full history.
