Transition in Coil for Compose

In the documentation, transition isn't supported in Coil for Compose directly yet. However, there is a workaround given by the authors

val painter = rememberAsyncImagePainter("https://example.com/image.jpg")

val state = painter.state
if (state is AsyncImagePainter.State.Success && state.dataSource != DataSource.MEMORY_CACHE) {
    // Perform the transition animation.
}

Image(
    painter = painter,
    contentDescription = stringResource(R.string.description)
)

To me, the part Perform the transition animation is vague. Can anyone help how should I start my custom transition there?
