I would reduce the size of the template and only include this part: Rest is not really applicable to this repository IMO as we're not developing tech here in this repo. |
I think this is more of an issue in the discussion boards and in the slack channel (and in my own email). If we do add this to our issue templates we'll catch a lot of folks opening issues for different reasons with this. I can be convinced, but I'm not sure we need this. |
We receive lots of questions as Github issues about how to get started with open source. We should create an issue template that mentions the article, https://contribute.cncf.io/contributors/getting-started/
