First off, this extension is great! I tried Arc browser for a bit, but I think the only takeaway I got was that I really just wanted a command palette for Chrome. This does the trick!

One thing that is a bit annoying is that the modal doesn't work on the New Tab page. I think it's due to Chrome permissions, but I may be mistaken. The problem is this means anytime I launch Chrome I have to first load a webpage in order to use the command palette.

I don't use the new tab page for anything specific other than a launch pad. Would it be possible to add an option to replace the new tab page content with this modal?

Thanks! 😄

I'm not sure if I can make the overwrite optional though, so it might have a conflict with other extensions that are overwriting the new tab page.

Let me check in the documentations later and confirm if I could make it work. 😄

Totally understand! No worries either way, just thought I'd suggest it. 🙂

Seems like the only way to do change the New Tab content is through a configuration in the manifest.json file, so it doesn't appear that it can be an optional setting.

Yeah, that's what I thought as well. 😢
