Can't change the color of the homepage

Hi, I'm using version 114.0.2 (64-bit) on windows 11, I don't understand why I can't change the color of the homepage, I tried to remove the line colors include from the userChrome.css file and use Firefox Color with custom theme for cascade, I tried different themes, they change everything except the homepage(. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

AFAIK this is something that is usually styled with the userContent.css instead of the userChrome.css.

I have had a lot of trouble with that file not working at all on my setup; hence I never bothered with it too much.

I may look into this at a later point; right now I'm trying to focus on a few other UI issues that have come up during my inactivity., and a potential rewrite of the entire project. :/
