Hi everyone! I am announcing some new features coming to SFW soon. Most if not all of these changes will come in the coming months.
Dark Mode (UPDATE: Added with v1.4!)
Dark mode has been on my to do list for quite a while, and it is finally coming. The dark mode will be able to be activated by a simple click of a button on a new Settings modal coming. Also inside the Settings modal will be Display Density, Effects, Fonts, and more.
Fully functional sidebars on modals. (UPDATE: Added with v1.4.3!)
Currently sidebars on modals do not function as they should. The hamburger icon does nothing, and the back arrow simply closes the modal. This will all be fixed. Icons will also be added to each item.
More organized code (removal of CSS styles in HTML files for example).
The code in SFW needs some improvement. There are lots of Element Style tags in the HTML rather than it all being in CSS files. There are also some unused files. This will all be fixed.
Movable modals (UPDATE: Added with v1.4.2!)
Modals currently stay still, but soon you will be able to drag them. This will be especially great for seeing the Acrylic effect on the modal sidebar and header change as you drag the modal around.
Better aligning with XAML guidelines and adding controls. (UPDATE: Added with v1.4.3!)
In the future, it will contain lookalikes to XAML controls, but on the web. It will also align better with the XAML guidelines.
Improved color palette (mainly on modals + buttons). (UPDATED: Added with v1.4.3!)
The SFW color palette will become more consistent; Microsoft like.
Login screen.
SFW will gain a template for a Fluent Design-based login screen for the web!
Context menus.
Context menus will become part of SFW, with Fluent Design!
Better performance.
Resource-occupying code will be replaced with better-performing code, increasing performance.
More! There will be lots of other changes, features, and tweaks coming.
