How to create an entity that combines power from all other power entities

I have most of my lights connected to Shelly smart relays, which also do power/energy monitoring, but this is per light. How can i create an enitity that takes all power/energy entities and combines them into one value, for total energy use in my house. I've tried this

powercalc:
    sensors:
      - create_group: All lights
        include:
          domain:
            - light
            - switch

but i just get these two entities with no value (comes up as unknown)

The include function can be used to include previously configured powercalc sensors in the group.
It can also include existing power sensors (non powercalc), but these entities are of sensor domain, so including domain light will not work in this scenario.

Yes, as there is no way for powercalc to know that a certain existing power sensor is actually measuring a light. You'll have to define that somehow.

Maybe you could use the new wildcard function which allows you to include entities with certain pattern.

But that will only work if all your power sensors for the light actually have a common naming pattern.

No not yet, but I think that would be doable to implement without much effort.

Configuration of that could look as follows.

powercalc:
    sensors:
      - create_group: All power
        include:
          all:
