Better to start a new discussion here rather than adding on to number #2.

In response to your question, yes I would happily look at any PRs you'd like to submit. As long as they make sense to both of us, and to other users of the project as best we understand their needs, we'll incorporate them into the code. This open source at its best when multiple people are using, and contributing to the software. Thanks!
