Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When doing online presentation I' need to focus attention on some part and the best way is usually to have a laser pointer, as you would use in a physical room with a projector.

Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like to have a laser-like pointer: while I have the click button activated it draws and as soon as I stop pressing the button the drawing disappears.

Describe alternatives you've considered
It exists in some exotic PDF viewers and also for physical systems (see https://github.com/jahnf/Projecteur) but I didn't find any alternative for a general desktop tool. I believe Gromit is the right project for that.

Isn't the cursor your laser pointer dot? ;-) So this feature request is about changing the cursor on button press?

The way iPad does is more or less like a pen with alpha layer (.5 transparency). If you release the pen it counts up to 3 seconds and vanish slowling increasing alpha.

For de example, its like a highlight pen that self erase after a while.

I found a couple of apps with similar behaviour (hope it help to improve the idea):

ScreenBrush - Highlighter with fade mode

here is a screenshot of the Preferences tab to config that option
