Better icons for battery display #21
Comments
I really enjoy using your app. please let me know if these work for you. https://adobe.ly/2Gn9XGo |
@adpennycuff thank you. I am traveling for the next couple of weeks so I may not always be able to respond timely. I think we may be able to get away with just two icons: one for the draining (not charging) state and one for the charging state. For this purpose, I would use your "Full" icon for the "draining" state and the same icon but with the little "thunder" symbol superimposed for the "charging" state. Effectively the icon would show whether the machine is plugged in or not. Is it possible to replace the light bulb icon with the battery icons as discussed above in the draining and charging pics? (If we are happy with the results we could go the full route: making separate icons for the draining and charging states at 0%, 10%, 20%, ..., 100% battery charge. Although I am no graphic designer I could perhaps even do this myself by basing my changes on your template.) |
It would be great if this battery feauture is added to EnergyBar. Having different icons for different battery percentage. |
In version v1.4 the ability to show the battery percentage in the clock widget has been added.
The display looks like this:
The display looks like this when charging:
The icons are not ideal and I would prefer it if a professional that understands macOS icons/symbols created new icons to better convey the meaning here. There are three icons, one for each possible battery state: draining, charging and charged.
The existing icon was created by combining the icon of the Clock and Energy Saver preference icons.
