Discussing what are the priorities for development

Over the past couple months we've had some really great contributions for this package. I'd also like to invest some more of my time into managing the technical debt we've accumulated over time.

Since this package has lots of consumers, 2 million downloads this month I'd like to open the discussion up to the community on what are the priorities and where should we be spending our time?

For this I've created a gitter room and with #898 it's been added to the README.md. Please drop in and share your thoughts :)
