Abandoned plugin #43
Comments
I am trying to keep an unofficial version of the block going at https://github.com/Syxton/moodle-block_massaction/tree/Rose-Changes Includes fixes for 3.9-3.11.2 Unofficial release 5.1.5 is out now. I have been asked to become the official maintainer, and have accepted through direct message, but it is still unofficial. |
@Syxton I did a complete rework of the original plugin https://github.com/hqhoang/moodle-block_massaction and would be happy to contribute. Has the "maintainer question" already been cleared? I'm also planning to update this plugin for 4.0 once it has been "fully" released. |
@PhMemmel I have never heard back from anyone since the question was asked/answered. It has not been changed in either this repo or in the Moodle plugin database, so as far as I'm concerned, I am just the maintainer of an unofficial block that my institute uses. I have just begun looking at 4.0, so I haven't started any 4.0 specific changes for this block. My latest version is https://github.com/Syxton/moodle-block_massaction/tree/Rose-Changes |
Hi @Syxton, since there's been no update from the owner, I've updated the Plugins Traffic forum that handles abandoned plugins to say nothing's happened. And suggested that you take ownership, if you want. Perhaps you could confirm on the forum, either way. |
For the record, I just contacted Clem Smith officially as per https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Plugins_adoption_programme#Initiating_forced_adoption. If I don't hear back in 30 days, I am more than happy to make @Syxton the new lead maintainer of the plugin. Many thanks @sharpchi for the initiative! |
To continue the record: Plugin development now has been moved to https://github.com/Syxton/moodle-block_massaction Thanks @sharpchi @mudrd8mz for initiating/advancing the workflow for transferring the plugin! |
It appears this plugin has been abandoned. I have raised an issue on moodle.org - https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=422640.
If you are the plugin maintainer, Moodle has a process of plugin adoption where you can transfer the ownership to someone who is able to take on its maintenance. Please reply to the forum post.
