Block class caching

I have the following class. I can't access the cached properties in the blade file unless I clear the cache each time and don't understand why.

            $block->style = app()->make(\App\Repositories\StyleRepository::class)->blockOutput($block);
            $block->colClass = \App\Repositories\StyleRepository::getBlockColCssClass($block);
            $block->textAlign = \App\Repositories\StyleRepository::getTextAlign($block);
            $block->headerImages = app()->make(\App\Repositories\StyleRepository::class)->cardBgImages($block);
            $block->limit = intval($block->input('count')) ?? 6;

I have changed to use data instead and it works when I use compacted variable names.
